Last night, I was scouring my stash for a kind-of-neutral yet interesting nail polish. I let DH choose (risky business, so I retain veto power), and he decided on Illamasqua Bacterium. Illamasqua describes this shade as "pearlescent ash ochre." I'd say that's pretty apt. While the formula went on slightly brushstrokey, it otherwise applied very, very nicely. The brushstrokes aren't noticeable when it dries, in my opinion.
Unfortunately, the weather has been extremely rainy lately, so I wasn't able to catch this one in sunlight. This one can deepen in color when the light hits it just right. I've always been a fan of Illamasqua polishes, some of which happen to be discounted almost 50% right now at their website.
