OPI Spring 2014 Brazil Collection: Amazon Amazoff

Hey, y'all,

Today I've got OPI Amazon Amazoff from the OPI Brazil collection.  I really wasn't too interested in the other shades from this collection, so this is my sole Brazil purchase.  Amazon Amazoff is a teal green with an ever-so-slight shimmer on the nail.  It was opaque in two coats and went on without any difficulty.  I really liked how smoothly it applied.  Here are the pics:

Now while I am addicted to all things mint colored, I feel a little odd with deeper green colors on my own hands.  In fact, I purged Illamasqua Rampage AND Kink for this reason.  I think it looks super pretty in pictures but is just so outside my color comfort zone.  Despite this, I think I would have considered wearing it again until I actually took it off to reveal...

SMURF HANDS!!!!  ACK!!!
You know, I had a suspicion that this was going to happen when I was going over the polish with my brush dipped in acetone for cleanup.  That inky teal pigment had already started to stain my nails and skin.  This is through Orly Bonder, by the way.  Amazon Amazoff is only the third color in my personal polish history to do this to my poor little nails (other two being Candeo Jelly Bean and Pretty and Polished Bubble Tea).  So, after a hearty round off buffing, most was removed, but a long hot shower plus some scrubbing was required to get it off my skin.  Any desire I had to wear this color again completely dissipated after this nightmare staining!  Maybe your body chemistry is a bit different than mine and you haven't/won't experience this with Amazon Amazoff, but I will not be wearing it again.

Any stainers in your polish collection?  Leave it in the comments so I can run far, far away...

*OPI is cruelty-free.  Its parent company, Coty, is not.
